珊瑚看起来像是植物,实际它是海洋里的一种低级动物。我们平常见到的白色珊瑚,其实是珊瑚死后留下的残骸与骨骼。
活的珊瑚,在海水中会显得五光十色,因而被称为“海底之花”。珊瑚本身有鲜黄、淡粉红、深玫瑰红、蓝相绿色,等等。
珊瑚礁中生活的还有海绵、海葵、海参、水母、巨蛤、鱼虾类等。就如同是海洋中的热带雨林,珊瑚是雨林中的“树木”,鱼类和软体动物是其中的“禽兽”。同雨林中一样,也有各种生存竞争。
The coral looks like a plant, but it is actually a type of low-level animal species in the ocean. We usually see white coral, in fact those are the remains of its skeleton.
Living corals are very colorful, and as a result they are known as the "flower of the ocean". The corals' bodies can be bright yellow, pale pink, deep rose red, blue green, etc.
Living among the coral reef are sea sponges, sea anemones, sea cucumbers, jellyfishes, giant clams, fish and shrimp and so on. Like a rainforest in the ocean, the corals are the "trees" in the rainforest, where the fish and the mollusks are the "birds and beasts". Like the rainforest, there is a struggle for survival.
